Description
Common Wild Rose (Rosa Woodsii) is a native North American species of rosebush with fragrant pink flowers. It grows up to 10 feet tall with thorns and long serrated leaves. Blooms appear in mid-summer and last for several weeks. The flowers attract bees and butterflies while the hips are nutritious for birds. Its dry, well-drained soil, and sunny locations make it ideal for perennial gardens, hedges or shrub borders. Few pests and diseases trouble it as it acclimates and thrives in sunny spots. It is an easy-to-grow addition that will add plenty of vibrant colour and fragrance to the garden.
