Purpleleaf Plum

Purpleleaf PlumPurpleleaf Plum Prunus cerasifera

This is a colorful tree and works great as an accent in any landscape.  The leaves are reddish purple.  White-pink flowers occur in the spring but normally do not turn to fruit.  This tree does not like too much water, especially when it is first planted.  Do not plant this tree over 8,500 feet.  This tree will mature at 15′ and 10′ wide.
