Little Bluestem Schizachyrium scoparium

This native American prairie grass looks great in almost any landscape.  It is very drought and cold tolerant.  The foliage is bluish through the summer and turns fiery-orange to sunset-red. The foliage is very handsome.  This grass also grows in almost any soil.  Do not plant this grass above 7,500 feet.  This grass matures at 3-4′ and 2′ wide.
